 Gail Ballesteros-Shrive was born and raised in Manila Philippines as the only child of Salvador Ballesteros and Remedios de Jesus.
As a teenager, Gail moved to England to attend the Fashion School at Nuneaton College. Following graduation, she attended the University of East London. Receiving a degree in Fashion Design & Marketing. It was during this time that Gail began to develop her Club & Street wear designs. Drawing inspiration from the London club, cafe, and social scenes.
Following graduation from the East London University, Gail returned to the United States and took a design position at the Loungewear Licensing Company, 2Xist. A position that allowed her to travel throughout the continent and gain intimate knowledge of fabric purchasing, design, and quality control.
After a short stint, working with Couture Designer Lily Samii, Gail stepped out on her own and launched Gail Shrive Designs, LP. in 19xx.
Initial business focused on the creation of private label designs for individual clientele, corporate sponsors, and specialty club events.
More recently, GB Shrive has been focusing on the creation of unique collections focusing on a Bridal & Evening wear, Kids wear, and her original Club & Street wear lines. This year, GB Shrive will be releasing its’ first Swim wear line for the Summer 2010 season. Along with this, a new eCommerce enabled web business is in development and a factory sewing service is to be launch third quarter of 2010.
